Tampa Y Wraps Up Annual Giving Campaign’s Community Phase

Barbecues, swim-a-thons, raffles and so much more. There is no dearth of fun activities as our Tampa Y family centers continue to wrap up the community phase of the Annual Giving Campaign this month.
Across the Tampa Bay area, members, staff and volunteers are coming together in creative and spirited ways at our various locations to support a cause that strengthens our community. Whether it’s flipping burgers on a sunny afternoon, diving into a swim-a-thon to raise dollars per lap or trying your luck at a raffle basket, the energy is contagious and the impact is powerful.
Our Spurlino Family YMCA will host the fourth annual Color Run on this Saturday, April 19 at 8 am. The 5k/1- mile walk/run around the facility will have color blasting stations scattered throughout the mile-long trail. A Giving Table will be set-up from April 19 through April 26 in the lobby during hours of operation. Finally, an Active Older Adult Fashion Show will round out the campaign on April 26 with amazing seniors highlighting the entertaining event.
Each event across our Association reflects the heart of the Y — bringing people together for a purpose. These fun-filled fundraisers are not just about reaching goals; they’re about deepening connections and reinforcing our shared commitment to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The funds raised help ensure that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to Y programs and services.
As the campaign nears its final stretch, there’s still time to join the movement. Every dollar, every lap and every raffle ticket counts. Let’s finish strong, Tampa Y family — with community, compassion and a whole lot of fun. Together, we’re building a better us!
