Brand New Preschool Summer Enrichment Program
Your little ones can now go to join in at the Y for summer fun! Thanks to the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, two to five-year-old children can experience our YMCA Preschool Summer Enrichment Program. Running from June 2 to August 8 – the same dates for our older campers, the program will be hosted at our Central City Family YMCA in Tampa Heights and Camp Sierra in Carrollwood.
Designed to spark curiosity and foster social, emotional and cognitive growth, our Preschool Summer Enrichment Program provides the perfect blend of fun and educational activities to keep the kids active all summer.

At the Y, we bring over a history of over a decade of expertise in providing exceptional childcare services to families throughout 14 licensed childcare locations. Our commitment to quality, nurturing care has made us a trusted choice for parents throughout the Tampa area. And now, we're thrilled to announce we are officially offering licensed Preschool* at both the Camp Sierra YMCA and Central City YMCA locations.
Both Y locations will offer comprehensive programming dedicated to promoting the social, emotional, and physical well-being of every child. These new preschools will be led by certified and experienced childcare staff to ensure the highest quality of care and education with an evidence-based curriculum.
When it comes to helping your child Learn, Grow & Thrive, the YMCA’s preschool programs focus on developmental opportunities, including:
- Pre-Writing & Reading Skills
- Math Skills such as Counting, Shape Sorting & Matching Patterns
- Conflict Resolution, Recognizing Feelings & Building Relationships
- Fine & Gross Motor Skills
- Social-Emotional Skills Needed for Self-regulation and Growing Independence
- AND having FUN!
